Our Signature Program:

The Millennial Entrepreneurial Success Program  - Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit in Creative Millennials

Created and delivered by Millennial Entrepreneurs for Millennial Entrepreneurs, this program is designed for Business Schools, Business Programs at Community Colleges, and Small Business Centers who want to give their students a significant edge!

At Motivational Millennial, we know that with the right tools and empowered mindsets, Millennial entrepreneurs, freelancers, and solopreneurs can be an incredible force for business in America.

But here's the shocker!

Although 67% of Millennials say they want to own a business someday, as of 2014 only 2% of Millennials were self-employed.
— 2014 Bentley University Survey & U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy

We want to encourage young professionals not only to create the business they care about, but also to stick with it through the uncertainty and challenges that accompany the entrepreneurial journey. To this end, we have distilled information gathered through our personal experiences and those of successful Millennials we interview on the Motivational Millennial Podcast down to the Three Key Elements of Success:

  1. "Own Your Inner Story" - Understand and choose the story you tell yourself about who you are and what you're capable of.
  2. "Get Gritty" - Persevere with the perspective that challenges are opportunities.
  3. "Don't Do It Alone"  - Find supportive communities, mentors, and coaches to support you on your path.

The Program Includes:

Outcomes Achieved:

  • Attendees leave with a realistic and empowered understanding of what it feels like to be an entrepreneur so that they won’t give up when challenges arise.
  • Attendees leave with 3 practical personal development tools that they can use to persevere on their entrepreneurial journey.
  • Attendees leave with clear next steps to create or expand a supportive community of mentors and peers.

Blake and Ivy are awesome facilitators! They managed to captivate the attention of both the students and staff throughout our event. Their team-building exercises and presentation style kept everyone engaged, while keeping it fun!
— Anna Haslett-Adams, Champions for Kids
Ivy’s Self-Compassion workshop illuminated powerful and profound insights that we participants found truly transformational. Her guidance was flexible and responsive to everything that emerged from the group, yet wrapped up on schedule and complete. Inspiring and joyful on the one hand, and usefully valuable as well.
— Ellis Ralph, Edgewalkers
Working with Blake and Ivy has been one of the best decisions my organization made this year! They worked with us every step of the way, crafting a unique and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. It was such a joy to see high school students from 6 different schools collaborate, engage, and learn. Thank you, and keep it up!
— Kristen Martin, Champions for Kids
For my class on the relationships between hip-hop, poetry, and the social dimensions of rap culture, Dr. Brandes came and treated students to an illuminating, fascinating, and educational presentation, which included a beatboxing and freestyling workshop.
— Daniel Lukes, New York University
Ivy LaClair’s Self-Compassion workshop produced a loving, compassionate, and safe place for all present and provided ways of dealing with and healing of some of the anxieties of living in today’s world. Her approach to the topic of compassion was beautifully done.
— Dian Williams, Compassion Fayetteville
Ivy LaClair’s workshop on Self-Compassion was a powerful experience. I had never even thought about self-compassion before, and her material and her exercises were enlightening, inspiring, and life changing. As a result of what I learned, I am much kinder in the way I speak to myself, and that helps me to have even more compassion for others.
— Dr. Judi Neal, Edgewalkers
Blake’s work with the students was incredible. While teaching them a large amount of skills in a short amount of time, he also managed to share life lessons in subtle and powerful ways. I sincerely hoped we are able to bring Blake back for several more workshops next year, as the students haven’t been this enthusiastic about any activity the entire school year.
— Sarah Kingston, Minster College, UK
